Curative Insurance May Cover VirtualCare2go Appointments Online

Verify Your Benefits Before Your Video VisitUploaded Image

A non-emergency illness does not always require a trip across town.

VirtualCare2go® accepts Curative insurance for eligible online healthcare services. Members may be able to speak with a healthcare professional through a smartphone, tablet, or computer while remaining at home or another private location in Texas.

Coverage depends on the member’s exact Curative plan, network, requested service, and individual benefits.

When May a Virtual Appointment Be Appropriate?

Online urgent care may be useful for stable symptoms that can be evaluated through a medical history and video examination.

Depending on the patient’s needs, a virtual provider may evaluate cold symptoms, allergies, cough, sore throat, mild fever, flu-like symptoms, headaches, nausea, vomiting, digestive concerns, pink eye, rashes, urinary symptoms, and other non-emergency concerns.

During the appointment, the provider may ask about the timing and severity of symptoms, medications, allergies, health conditions, recent exposures, and treatments already tried.

Some conditions cannot be fully evaluated through video. The provider may recommend testing, imaging, a physical examination, specialist care, or an emergency department.

Verify Your Curative Coverage

Before scheduling, contact Curative and ask:

  • Is VirtualCare2go in my plan’s network?

  • Is the scheduled healthcare professional participating?

  • Does my plan cover online urgent-care appointments?

  • Does my deductible apply?

  • Is there a copay or coinsurance?

  • Is prior authorization required?

  • Are prescriptions covered separately?

  • Are laboratory tests billed separately?

  • Must I use a designated laboratory, pharmacy, or facility?

You can also review the VirtualCare2go Curative page.

Keep the representative’s name and reference number with your records. Benefit verification is not a guarantee that the health plan will pay a claim.

Prepare for the Video Consultation

Have your photo ID, insurance card, medication list, allergy information, and preferred pharmacy ready.

Use a device with a working camera and microphone. Choose a private area with adequate lighting and reliable internet service.

If you have a rash, swelling, redness, or another visible concern, make sure the provider can see the affected area clearly. Do not drive during the appointment.

Prescriptions and Testing Are Separate

The provider may send an appropriate non-narcotic prescription to the patient’s preferred pharmacy when medically indicated. Medication is not guaranteed, and pharmacy coverage must be verified separately.

Laboratory testing, imaging, and in-person follow-up are also separate services. Confirm that any outside provider or facility participates with your Curative plan before receiving non-emergency care.

VirtualCare2go serves eligible patients across Texas. Visit VirtualCare2go or call (817) 508‑8169 for scheduling assistance.

Call 911 immediately for severe chest pain, major breathing difficulty, stroke symptoms, uncontrolled bleeding, seizures, loss of consciousness, or another life-threatening concern.
