Sana Benefits May Support VirtualCare2go Visits Statewide
Understand Your Coverage Before Connecting With Care
When you do not feel well, traveling and waiting for care can make an already difficult day more stressful.
VirtualCare2go® accepts Sana Benefits for eligible online medical services, allowing members to connect with a healthcare professional from home, work, or another private location within Texas.
The exact services covered depend on your individual Sana plan, provider network, deductible, copay, coinsurance, and benefit requirements.
What Can VirtualCare2go Evaluate Online?
A virtual appointment may be appropriate for many stable, non-life-threatening health concerns.
Depending on the symptoms and provider’s clinical judgment, an online visit may help evaluate allergies, cough, congestion, sore throat, mild fever, headaches, flu-like symptoms, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, pink eye, rashes, minor skin concerns, and urinary symptoms.
The provider may recommend home care, appropriate medication, testing, follow-up, or an in-person evaluation.
A prescription is never guaranteed. It is provided only when the healthcare professional determines that medication is medically appropriate and permitted through virtual care.
Confirm Your Sana Benefits
Insurance acceptance does not mean that every Sana plan covers every provider or service in the same way.
Before scheduling, ask Sana Benefits:
-
Is VirtualCare2go participating in my network?
-
Is the scheduled provider in network?
-
Is an online urgent-care appointment covered?
-
Does my deductible apply?
-
Will I have a copay or coinsurance?
-
Are prescriptions covered through a separate pharmacy benefit?
-
Are laboratory tests or imaging covered separately?
-
Is authorization required?

Get Ready for Your Appointment
Prepare your current Sana Benefits card, photo identification, medication list, allergies, preferred pharmacy, and relevant medical history.
Write down when the symptoms began, whether they are improving or worsening, and which treatments you have already tried. If you have a thermometer, blood-pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, or blood-glucose meter, have recent readings available when relevant.
Choose a quiet, private area with good lighting. Test your camera, microphone, and internet connection before the appointment begins.
What If You Need Testing?
A virtual provider may determine that laboratory testing, imaging, or a physical examination is necessary. Those services are separate from the online appointment and may use different providers or insurance benefits.
Confirm the selected laboratory or facility with Sana Benefits before receiving non-emergency outside services.
VirtualCare2go provides online care throughout Texas, including Dallas–Fort Worth, Arlington, Farmers Branch, Brownwood, Austin, Houston, El Paso, and San Antonio.
